Michael Smith, holder of a United States Soccer Federation “B” license and National Soccer Coaches Association of America Advanced National Diploma, begins his 21st season overall and 17th as full-time head coach of the women’s soccer program at Trinity in 2017. The Bantams have a 81-57-20 record over the last eleven seasons, with 11 NESCAC Championship Tournament appearances, and a pair NCAA Tournament bids in 2013 and 2016. Smith has guided Trinity to eight NESCAC Tournaments since 2007 and to the NESCAC Final Four in three of the last four autumns.
Erin is currently the Head Coach of the Girls’ Varsity Soccer team and the Director of Student Growth at Pomfret School. Her Pomfret team were 2017 WWNEPSSA Champions as well as Finalists in the NEPSAC Class B Championships. Erin received her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and her Master’s degree from Columbia University. She played collegiate soccer at Cornell where she was Captain, All-Ivy, Academic All-Ivy, and a CoSIDA Academic All-American. She also coaches club soccer in the ECNL for FSA FC and holds her USSF “C” License. Her FSA ’01 ECNL team won the 2017 ECNL Showcase National Championship. Erin was selected as the Prep Coach of the Year by the CGSCA in 2017 and 2009 and was named Regional Prep COY in 2017. She is on the executive board for the CGSCA, NEPSAC and WWNEPSSA girls’ soccer coaching associations.
Miss Porter's School
Avi Dubnov is currently the Director of Athletics and Head Soccer Coach at Miss Porter’s School. In his five seasons as the Miss Porter’s Head Coach the team have won the 2016 Founders league and WWNEPSSA Class B regular season championships for the first time in the schools history. Avi has also been awarded the 2014 WWNEPSSA Coach of the Year and the NSCAA 2015 Coach of the year. In five seasons the program has celebrated 1 All-American, 1 All-New England and 8 All-State player awards.
Avi holds his USSF National ‘A’ License and NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. Along with Miss Porter’s, he has been a staff member for the 2002 & 2003 girls US Youth National training centers and is currently the Head Coach of the 2003 FSA FC United ECNL team. Avi is on the state staff to teach USSF Licenses to coaches in New England and has been a head coach for the CT Olympic Development program for 7 years and the Region 1 staff for 2 years. Previously, Avi has been an assistant soccer coach at Trinity College and Central Connecticut State University as well as the Academy Director & Director of Coaching at SoccerPlus CT and the Regional Director of Coaching at MLS Camps.
